Solid Performance from Smith at CHI Al Shaqab, Doha

March 31st, 2013 News

Competitors at the impressive CHI Al Shaqab stadium in Doha had to tackle the technical tracks designed by Leopoldo Palacios in a demanding three round challenge for the 650,000 euros class which brought with it, its fair share of dramas.  Six remained clear in the Big Tour Grand Prix, including Robert Smith on Voila, but unfortunately they were the first of three pairs to be caught out by a tight double but finished a very credible 6th on 4 faults.

Balourado also came up trumps to finish third in a 12 rider jump-off in the three star Grand Prix.
