IT'S DERBY WEEKEND AT BROOK FURLONG FARM

Don't miss the first Unaffiliated Derby Weekend at Brook Furlong Farm taking place this Saturday and Sunday (3 and 4 July).  There will be individual prizes for each class as well as prize of a fantastic Jump Banner for the Leading Rider of the Weekend which has been generously donated by Equitility (www.equitility.com).

There will be two classes on each day starting at 10am with a 60-70cm competition followed by an 80-90cm class which will be held on the superb Derby course at Brook Furlong Farm.  Entries can be made on the day and cost £10 per horse/pony.  Points will still be accumulated towards The Robert Smith Unaffiliated Show Jumping League as normal.  Clear Round Jumping will still be running in the normal arena at heights to suit competitor's choice. 

DERBY SCHEDULE:

Show starts at 10am.

 

Class 1 – 60 to 70 cm (2’ to 2’3”)  – Open to Ponies & Horses

Jumps will not exceed 70 cm (2’3” ft) approx.

Derby course

 

Prizes and rosettes awarded to fifth place – Trophy to the winner *

 

1st £10; 2nd £8; 3rd £6; 4th rosette, 5th rosette

*Minimum of 10 entries per class for prize money to be awarded.

Entry fee: £10 per horse/pony

 

 

 

Class 2 – 80 to 90 cm (2’6” to 2’9”) – Open to Ponies & Horses

Jumps will not exceed 90 cm (2’9”) approx.

Derby course

RING 2 - Clear Round Jumping – starting 10am throughout the day (Grass)

 

Starting at 50 cm, increasing to 60 cm, 80 cm and 90cm but riders have option to adjust jump height at their request.

Entry fee: £3 per round or £5 for two rounds

Rosettes presented for all clear rounds
